FIXOR™ BINARY EXPLOSIVE - 500ml / PN 1-91-01
FIXOR™ is comprised of two plastic bottles. One bottle contains
FIXOR™ Liquid (flammable liquid); the other bottle contains
FIXOR™ Powder (inert powder). When the FIXOR™ Liquid is poured into the bottle containing the FIXOR™ Powder , and the bottle is shaken, a detonator sensitive FIXOR™ Binary Explosive is formed. Unlike ammonium nitrate based two-component explosives and traditional explosives, FIXOR™ self-neutralizes after a period of time, becoming a non-explosive. FIXOR™ of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines as well as Unexploded Ordnance (UXO). FIXOR™ 500ml is capable of sending its shock front through various materials including thick walled, mortar and artillery shells. It comes packaged in its smallest form with 48 bottles of FIXOR™ Liquid per UN approved small drum plus 48 bottles of inert FIXOR™ Powder per box. When FIXOR™ Binary Explosive is used with the 500ml bottles all topped up and set horizontally opposed and fired simultaneously, it allows for destruction of a multitude of conventional munitions.

FIXOR™ 3.8L is provided with MREL’s complete line of AquaRam™and EZCore™ Tactical Disrupters. MREL is the only company in the world that provides the disrupter energetics in combination with the disrupter. Each of MREL’s Tactical Disrupters has been designed to accept partial bottles and up to 4 bottles of the FIXOR™ Binary Explosive which allows for precise and rapid loading of disrupters. For MREL’s customers, explosives storage logistics are eliminated when FIXOR™ Liquid and FIXOR™ Powder are stored separately. Training is reduced because all of MREL’s Tactical Disrupters are compartmentalized and Bomb Technicians simply ‘pour until full’ with FIXOR™ Binary Explosive to load.
Remote ANSWER BACK Initiation System Smart-BFAS
The AquaRam™ Micro Tactical Disrupter has been specifically designed, tested and verified as a rapidly deployable, effective tool for reliably disrupting explosive threats ranging in size from suspicious packages to passenger vehicles. The smallest of three AquaRam™ Tactical Disrupters, the AquaRam™ Micro Tactical Disrupter propels a coarse focused water slug of 1.0L capacity. The 1.0L of water is wrapped on five sides with pre-measured, pourable FIXOR™ Binary Explosive.
AquaRam™ Micro Tactical Disrupter is ideal for attacking the switching mechanism of any IED or large backpack to large suitcase size devices – it takes over where the barrel disrupter starts to fail.
EZCORE™ 500 TACTICAL DISRUPTER
EZCore™ 500 Tactical Disrupter is the smallest of MREL’s Tactical Disrupters; however it is the most utilized of the EZCore™ TacticalDisrupter line.
This small charge has multiple applications. It is a tremendous device that allows for access of vehicle trunks and is capable of stripping soft skin bags away from identified pipe bombs. This allows the EOD technician to take a precision, if not surgical, shot of the end caps of the device. EZCore™ 500 Tactical Disrupter is simple in design and simple to use.
With the simple action of adding water, pouring the pre-measured amount of FIXOR™ Binary Explosive into its core, and inserting a detonator, the EZCore™ 500 Tactical Disrupter becomes a very effective tool against the terrorist device.
EZCORE™ 1G TACTICAL DISRUPTER
EZCore™ 1G Tactical Disrupter is known as the ‘Baby HEADD’ in the EOD community and has been identified as a favourite by EOD and Bomb Technicians worldwide.
EZCore™ 1G was designed to be the ideal choice for terrorist devices laid at soft targets such as train stations, bus stations,
etc. This Tactical Disrupter is one of the fastest tools in the MREL inventory to charge, deploy and fire to the terrorist device/threat with a small amount of explosives. EZCore™ 1G Tactical Disrupter is not limited to the use of just water as an ejecta, you can substitute materials such as sand, dolomite, gravel, etc. in order to produce various positive effects.
Like many of MREL’s other tactical disrupters, the EZCore™ 1G Tactical Disrupter can be used in a two or three barrel configuration where all the tactical disrupters are fired simultaneously to allow for the effective disruption of larger sized terrorist devices while utilizing smaller amounts of explosives.
EZCORE™ 5G TACTICAL DISRUPTER
EZCore™ 5G Tactical Disrupter has been designed to compare to the in-service ‘Mini HEADD’ charge known to many North American EOD and Bomb Technicians; however MREL has designed this tool to have increased jet tip velocity through an increased core diameter design.
EZCore™ 5G Tactical Disrupter is best used against threats contained in small panel vans and in two or three barrel configurations in a single storey.
The EZCore™ 5G Tactical Disrupter is a very effective tool and can be delivered by all deployment systems.
EZCORE™ 15G TACTICAL DISRUPTER
EZCore™ 15G Tactical Disrupter can be identified as an eective alternative to the well known ‘Mini HEADD’.
When positioned in a two barrel configuration, the EZCore™ 15G Tactical Disrupter simulates the energy output of a ‘Quad Mini HEADD’ shot. The sole purpose of this design was intended to reduce the number of initiation sets required to fire simultaneously. As with the design of all EZCore™ Tactical Disrupters , one is not limited to the length of the core; therefore the characteristics remain the same over the entire length of the tactical disrupter.
MREL Group of Companies Limited is the only company in the world that can make this claim. The EZCore™ 15G Tactical Disrupter has the same Net Explosive Weight as that of the AquaRam™ Max Tactical Disrupter. If general disruption tools are your requirement, than the EZCore™ 15G Tactical Disrupter is the ideal choice for a high energy output system.
TORPEDO MINI TACTICAL DISRUPTER
The EZCore™ Torpedo Mini is an effective alternative to the use of a cluster of traditional “Mineral Water Bottle” disrupters for in-cab overpressure charges and the traditional “Bootbanger” and “Trunk Trasher” disrupters for disrupting/neutralizing IEDs contained in the trunks of vehicles. The EZCore™ Torpedo Mini was designed to give a longer line of cut than the EZCore™ 1G Tactical Disrupter. The EZCore™ Torpedo Mini has the same jet tip velocity characteristics of the EZCore™ 1G and EZCore Torpedo Max Tactical Disrupters. Due to the design of the EZCore™ Torpedo Mini, it has a longer core and double the length of the EZCore™ 1G Tactical Disrupter and can be fired horizontally or in a vertical plane. This system is best used when placed side by side in a two or three disrupter configuration providing one or two extreme lines of cut.
TORPEDO MAX TACTICAL DISRUPTER
The EZCore™ Torpedo Max Tactical Disrupter is an effective alternative to the traditional “MLVD” disrupter which uses various military explosive types to propel the water. Unlike the traditional disrupters when the Bomb Technician must cut, break down, roll, stuff and tamp into a core to prepare the disrupter for use, the EZCore™ Torpedo Max Tactical Disrupter is simply ‘pour until full’ with FIXOR™ Binary Explosive. The EZCore™ Torpedo Max is a very effective tool when attacking the circuitry of large vehicle bombs when the question of the terrorist device make up is unknown or suspected to be homemade explosives.
EZCore™ Torpedo Max is best utilized in a two or three disrupter configuration.
Dragon Lance
Dragon™ MK8 is a thermite lance specifically designed to destroy thin skinned steel (up to 13mm) and plastic cased ordnance. This stand-off solution offers an effective method of destroying ordnance and specifically those that are classed as “no touch” items.
The Dragon thermite lance is ‘a pre-loaded turn key solution’ and can be imported into regions where access to explosives and accessories are prohibited.
Dragon with its related products are certified as UN3178 Flammable Solid Inorganic N.O.S., Class 4.1 Packing Group III therefore not classified as explosives which makes it easy to transport, handle and store without the associated administrative burden of explosives.
Dragon generates a focused flame with a temperature of more than 2000°C that lances through the targeted ordnance igniting the explosives within allowing these to deflagrate.
